Phase 2 (2022) – Focus on public policy

Throughout 2022, CPN, CAPP and Unmasking Psoriasis will conduct research and develop content for Phase 2 to be launched on World Psoriasis Day 2022 (October 29). The goals of this phase are to build on the key learnings from Phase 1 and focus on public policies and how effectively they are meeting the needs of people with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis in the workforce. Though the scope of Phase 2 will include federal public policies primarily, our approach will include consideration of how these policies intersect with provincial and territorial jurisdictions and the private sector (the planned focus of Phase 3).

Phase 2 will consist of:

  1. A white paper analyzing federal public policies related to employment and disability that affect people with psoriatic disease in the workplace;
  2. Federal-level government meetings to share findings and recommendations; and
  3. Mapping of programs and policies related to employment and disability that affect people with psoriatic disease.  We have compiled a list of resources and programs that may be available to people currently based on comprehensive research; however, this resource is not an exhaustive list of relevant programs available to people with disabilities and psoriatic disease in Canada. This is informational only and links are provided throughout for you to get more information about each program and resource.
